Kristen knows that for mid-Michigan families to thrive, they need to feel and be safe. For far too long, local police and sheriffs have been underfunded, and Kristen is working to fix that. As a Bay City Commissioner, she increased funding to hire additional officers, and in the state Senate, she brought back to local departments millions to fund more officers, tools, and training.

In Congress, Kristen has secured millions in federal investments into our local departments, and she co-sponsors the bipartisan bill to fully fund local law enforcement.
