As any Michigander knows, our environment is part of our way of life, and it fuels our economy. 

In the State Senate, I have helped pass ambitious clean energy legislation, prioritizing practical solutions focused on addressing climate change, attracting high-paying energy sector jobs, and protecting families’ pocketbooks. I also secured funding to replace lead pipes and passed legislation to make sure kids have clean drinking water at school and in child care centers.

In Congress, I will always be a fierce champion of our planet, water, air, lakes, land and parks. I will protect our Great Lakes and Saginaw Bay, and make sure everybody has clean drinking water. I will stand up for our communities in Flint, and make sure we do whatever is necessary to heal the damage of the Water Crisis. And I will help pass smart and robust investments that promote clean energy, lower consumer costs, and create Michigan jobs.
