Reproductive healthcare decisions should be made between a woman and her doctor, not the government. I am proud to be endorsed by EMILY’s List and Planned Parenthood, who trust that I will always stand up for reproductive rights. 

In the wake of the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade and efforts to ban IVF around the country, I stood up for Michigan women and helped repeal the state’s 1931 law that banned abortion without exceptions for rape or incest. Then I helped pass a law protecting the right to use IVF in Michigan.

Still, as far-right extremists push an all-out, federal abortion ban that would override the will of Michigan voters, the right to abortion is not safe. In Congress, I will stand up to anybody seeking to restrict reproductive freedom, and will not stop fighting until we pass federal legislation restoring Roe v. Wade as the law of our nation once again.
